Leadership workshop with refresher seminars |
|
I. Initial position, background, preparation
The BEKB | BCBE (Berner Kantonalbank) decided to develop its management in various leadership qualities by means of a dynamic, goal oriented and multi-levelled leadership seminar. With a mixture of different learning methods in different learning surroundings and in different learning situations the managers receive the possibility to get to know better their management style and to tap into existing potentials better. The leading competencies that the company management regards as important is trained intensively.
Working out key competencies
In a first step, the CEO, the training manager of the bank and Stucki, as an external institution (a partner of BEKB | BCBE for many years), work out together the relevant key competencies. Out of 67 possible leadership competencies, according to Lominger, 8 were chosen that will be important for the successful leadership of the bank within the coming years.
Verifying the key competencies
In a second preparative step, the selected key competencies were verified in an experiential workshop with the extended company management. Which ones are relevant? Where is the biggest need for action or where are the biggest weaknesses? Which competencies must therefore be trained in a prioritised way? 200 – 300 selected managers of the bank will receive a focussed training of these competencies in seminars of 2 modules with approx. 16 participants each.
